Student Travel Assistance Grants

SmartCloud 2017 provides selected students with travel funding supports, which focuses on assisting undergraduate/graduate levels students, especially under-represented students, who are interested in the research of cloud computing or have a passion for future cloud-related research work. The purpose of this fund is to attract most passionate young scholars to have opportunities to involve in the academic event in the field of cloud computing and continuously drive the growth of the cloud computing and smart computing community. The registration would give awarded students access to all co-located events. The supporting fund will be used for cover students partial expenses for the purpose of attending the conference. The expense amount will be determined by the conference committee.

Applicant Eligibility



Application Materials

All application materials should be in a PDF formt, which need to be sent to kekegai@smart-com.org. The student needs to submit a trip budget when applying for the fund; all receipts are required for the travel reimbursement.

Important Dates

Student Travel Grant Application Deadline: October 15th, 2017
Award Notification Date: October 20th, 2017
Reimbursement Deadline (Needs all documents, such as receipts and trip report): November 5th, 2017

The student will submit a trip report describing the experience at the conference, which is required for travel reimbursement. The reimbursements may take up to two months.

SmartCloud 2017
