Topic: Combining Internet of Things (IoT) and Data Science: Overview, examples and recommendations

Abstract: The purpose of this industrial talk is to give the overview, examples and recommendations from the combined effort of IoT and Data Science for multiple disciplines. IoT is the platform to collect and classify data. Data Science involves methods and techniques analyze, process, understand and visualize outputs. Our aims will include first, it allows anyone to understand important aspects of science research in a short period of time; second, it enables key messages from the research to be conveyed and third, it encourages interdisciplinary research. The overview, examples and recommendations will be demonstrated, including healthcare, finance, weather, social networks, security, smart cities, geo-economics and other disciplines to justify research and enterprise contributions. Future work such as future directions and work-in-progress with deep learning will be discussed.
